Tiny 1-2 page nomenclature notes behind a paywall. And there's no abstract, no author email. Frustrating. This is not collaborative science for public good. Hey Zootaxa updates how about subsidizing these and making them open access?

Yet another of those minor nomenclature items from Zootaxa updates that are unnecessarily closed access. However kudos to the authors for fixing the error (follows a prior spelling correction back in 2019)

Enucie ?? >> Eunice. WoRMS has the etymology: "Cuvier (1817: 524) states in a footnote that he derived Eunice from the name of one of the female Nereides, stating "Eunice, nom d'une nereide dans Apollodore".

I must compliment the Chinese submersible "Fendouzhe" team for their recent discoveries in the Kuril-Kamchatka and Aleutian trenches. I never saw anything like this in the 17 deep trenches I visited. Amazing new forms of life. Still more to explore. bbc.com/news/articles/…

A massive achievement. One key to rule them all! Integrating all annelid families + descriptions of all. Congrats to Glasby, Biriukova, Martin, Dyne, Utevsky, & Wilson.

A correction published today. "All mentions of “Fabriciinae subfam. nov.” are replaced with “Fabriciinae Rioja, 1923" doi.org/10.11646/zoota… Family names implicitly exist at all family ranks, same author, once first published. It's not possible to create one again & again.
