This is why it’s so appealing to so many men, because a lot of their narrative is rooted in fundamental truths, but then they put a bizarre helpless victim spin on it

Echo 🔆 Learning to balance playful banter with genuine connection and conversation is a fine art. Lots of dudes can do the playful part, but can’t turn it off. They use banter to mask a deep fear of being vulnerable.

I try to explain this to guys all the time. If it’s “your fault”, you’re to blame, or you’re somehow responsible, that’s a good thing. Puts you in the drivers seat to enact the changes necessary to improve your circumstances

A tradition I’m developing is that every trip in the RV starts by playing “Let your backbone slide” by Maestro Fresh Wes. The song must start before I put it in gear. This will be a core memory for my kids Van trips as a kid for me was “Dirves me crazy” by Fine Young Cannibals
