After over 10 years at the helm, AFS Executive Director Doug Austen has announced his retirement this year. AFS has launched a nationwide search for a new Executive Director to lead our operations and the Search Committee is now accepting applications: fisheries.org/edsearch

I had the opportunity to present my master thesis insights at World Fisheries Congress air compressors in dive fishing dynamics, stable isotopes for fishery management, and discussed fishing communities resilience at FishScore workshop. Thank you CIMAR-UCR Future Earth #WFC2024

Our trade show was home to BEAUTIFUL works of art made by fellow fisheries scientists! And in-person attendees had the opportunity to create their own works of art to display on site 👨‍🎨

Last week at #WFC2024 , I presented my 2nd PhD chapter on how incorrect abundance indices and target estimates in multi-species fisheries can impact the final stock status and management measures.
