Public health in action! 🌪️This last week, our team has been out in the field throughout Washington and Douglas County with 3 Rivers Health Dept, Douglas County Health Department, and Nebraska DHHS to better understand disaster preparedness and needs of those affected by last year's Arbor Day tornadoes.


My takeaway from this experience is that the individuals in your public health department care deeply about your health and safety. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Douglas County Health Department 3 Rivers Health Dept and Nebraska DHHS. Major shout out to the UNMC Water, Climate & Health Program team as well!
