Just FYI
There *is* a date code on the beans packet - it says
'18 L'
The '18' is the Day (the 18th!), The 'L' is December.
WHY? Because for whatever reason, they've gone to using letters as a code for the month:
'L' is the 12th letter therefore
'L'= 12th month=December
