Vancouver’s Water Street pedestrian summer pilot will be ending soon. It’s fair to say the pilot could have been done much better from programming, placemaking and street retail sales perspectives. And yet people still embraced it, because we badly need such places in our city.

How did I not know #BenchmarkMonday was a thing?! Here's a nice one to delight & intrigue. There are 4 "flush bracket" style benchmarks on the pillars of Uni of Birmingham Muirhead Tower, but with blank plates (I.e. no serial #). They're in BM database, but purpose is a mystery.

I'm not a legal expert, but it seems to me there is a logical hole in the argument that legal advice from the past which says there is no information so it's not possible to say if any war crimes are happening or not would apply now/forever & never be updated.
