I am technically still signed-up to a local 10K race that has been postponed 3 times already and still no idea when/if it's gonna happen. That makes it a little tricky to plan my training around it. Maybe I should shop around for a race with a date attached to it...

I started running again, on my treadmill. I tell myself it's quicker and more practical than running outside, but part of the reason for it is that I don't like being seen outside with sport clothes that fitted better 10 kilos ago. Funny, it didn't bother me when I first started

One year ago today, I began my descent into the living hell of long covid. Here's a brutally honest report card on how I've coped so far with my "athlete's mindset." 8020endurance.com/what-if-there-…

Is it wrong that the part I like most about running in the evening is not the running itself, but the getting to bed right after a shower, while all my body is still slightly aching from the effort? #running

I'm going running tonight. I don't *want* to go running tonight, what I want, really, is to be a runner again. I want to fall in love with it again. I might report back in a bit #running

Running to lose weight is not a good enough reason for me. I need to want to improve from whatever level I'm at to stick to it. On the plus side, I lost so much fitness that progress should not be too hard to achieve 😉

I've just learned that the sky race that turned me from a jogger into a runner 2 yrs ago, that never happened for me because of COVID, is resuming next year, 7 months from now... I pour so much energies to prepare for it back then, why do I want to put myself though that again?

Anyway, I completed the first week of the GetRunning app (Android couch potato to 5k app). That's the brilliant app that got me into running a few years ago, I hope it can do that again.

Be hard on yourself when it comes to consistency. Be easy on yourself when it comes to intensity. Most athletes have it in reverse.
