macOS app updating is so broken. I don't really care to update my scanner of my webcam's firmware every week or month. In general I just want the latest update. But software keeps nagging about “updates”. Shouldn't we be past this in our computer lives?

Yep. Need to be in a place that cares about design. Best way to do it imo = create your own place. Obra Studio
