We review recent research investigating the effect of shared human values. We also report new data showing that alignment between people's own and perceived values tends to result in higher well-being. New review paper with Lukas Lukas J. Wolf and Greg Maio tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

Twitter is experimenting with ways to humanise other users before people reply to others they don't know –by showing things that both have in common. A tiny nudge in the right direction. Will be valuable to see if it has any impact: adweek.com/digital/twitte…

New findings from our very own Lukas J. Wolf and Greg Maio show that we are more compassionate and donate more money when in the presence of children

Lukas J. Wolf (@wolf_lj) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Very happy to see this published! 8 experiments show that children elicit greater compassion towards others, not only towards children. On a shopping street, adult passers-by also donated more often when more children were present.

New paper! We found that a) US-Democrats and Republicans have much more in common than they think, b) showing these similarities reduces polarisation and (c) elicits hopefulness for the future and trust in the other group. With Paul Hanel EASP doi.org/10.1177/194855…
