Also in this edition was an optimistic Notice, expecting an "immense demand" for the next issue with a printing of La Carmagnole. Earlier in the year Morris had stopped financing losses on the paper due to its increasingly violent tone. It would soon be financially unsustainable.

Bound by Thomas Cobden-Sanderson after the original binding started to fray. The English translation was a few years away, and not having German, Morris first read Capital in French
