As I roll into year 13 of teaching middle school band, got a great reminder thowback to GTA life thanks to Dr. Rebecca Phillips with possibly the best grad school crew ever! Go Rams! Happy first day of school, even though most of us have been doing band camp for weeks!

A great gig with The 8th Green Machine Regiment Band today! Saw some Civil War reenactors, the Patriot Fife and Drum Corps, and got there early enough to hike around Manassas to the Old Stone Bridge battlefield. The history nerd in me is very happy.

I like firearms. I think it is reasonable to have a firearm for hunting, sport shooting, or home defense. But no one needs an assault weapon. Tell me to my face your hypothetical peace of mind is more important than the life of a child. It's the fucking guns.
