I know some people wish that Epic DP was just the regular. But haven’t most of us wanted “hard modes” for raids to come back? Tweaked/reimagined mechanics with loot specific to that mode? Is this not effectively the same thing? I’m all for it personally.

Bungie is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Community felt that old seasonal model was becoming stale so the Portal was their attempt to shake it up. The portal is obviously not working. The cons heavily outweigh the pros. Would rather have seasons back at this point.

This is good. I'd rather this than some haphazard change to leveling that either does nothing or make it worse. Take the time to get things lined up where they need to be. This will let players enjoy the DLC without feeling like they have to climb the leveling mountain again.

I think Edge of Fate was especially stinky because I imagine a TON of dev time was used making the portal. I don't see a massive portal overhaul coming in Renegades so consider this my cope that Renegades will have a bit more to do
