As the Wits Aquatic Lab we celebrated a successful year with an end-of-year meeting and lunch gathering. A huge thank you to our remarkable and dedicated team for their commitment to protecting South Africa's freshwater ecosystems and all the diverse life that inhabits them.

Final year MSc student Siphelele Mbangata has completed her last sampling season at Kruger National Park! Based at the Wits Aquatic Lab, Siphelele's research focuses on the ecology of temporary streams, shedding light on how seasonal climate changes impact aquatic communities.
