🚨 Today, the first CAP Strategic Plans are adopted for🇩🇰, 🇫🇮, 🇪🇸,🇫🇷, 🇮🇪, 🇵🇱 & 🇵🇹. Agriculture is one of the key drivers for biodiversity loss. Despite political promises, the new CPSs fail to drive the much-needed transition towards sustainable agriculture 💀 🐝🌱

🇫🇷 LPO France ❌ The vast majority of CAP subsidies are still very harmful for biodiversity. ❌ There is no significant budget to support the transition towards agro-ecological practises. ❌Failure to put in place effective measures for pesticides reduction.

🇮🇪 BirdWatch Ireland ❌Only around 7% of 🇮🇪 CAP budget aids farmers to restore farmland biodiversity, prevent water pollution & reduce greenhouse gas & ammonia emissions. These crumbs will only support 20,000 of the 130,000 farmers.

🇮🇪 BirdWatch Ireland ⚠️ The CSP includes significant improvements for biodiversity, but to make sure these will be implemented investments in information exchange and advisory services for farmers are needed.
