The Pre-Prep Lent programme of clubs started in earnest last week with Quiz Club and Teamwork Club 📝 #WithamHall

On Saturday the Year 5️⃣ boys used Polydron (@polydronuk) to make a variety of solid shapes. They made prisms, pyramids, tetrahedra and octahedra as well as other three-dimensional shapes that do not have specific names. A great time was had by all 👏 #WithamHall

Today, pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 had the opportunity to get some very hands-on experience with animals they might not normally see. The presenter from ZooLabUK brought in a selection of interesting creatures, including a corn snake, a tarantula, rats and a gecko 🦎 #WithamHall

Pupils in Year 7️⃣ enjoyed a Geography trip to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park) in Stratford last week, to study the sustainability and legacy of the site. It was a super day and the pupils learned a lot while braving the very cold conditions! #WithamHall

We enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of recitation for the House Poetry Competition last week. Many thanks to Mrs Talbot from @oundleschool for giving up her afternoon to adjudicate. Tristan won the Junior Competition for Banks and Eloise won the Senior Competition for Maitland 🏆

Year 1 are thoroughly enjoying their Magic and Mystery topic this term. They have been busy thinking of things to put in potions using descriptive language and have come up with some truly magnificent recipes! 💫 #WithamHall

Our Exeat Service this afternoon was on the theme of Celebrating Diversity. Mr Mark Semmence, Headmaster of Repton School, gave an address about kindness and courage. Well done to all of the performers and thank you to all the parents for joining us in worship ⛪ #WithamHall

Year 8️⃣ enjoyed visiting KRIII Visitor Centre in Leicester this week. They explored Richard III's life and how his remains were uncovered in a car park 👑 They also visited the Leicester Hebrew Congregation to learn more about the festivals and rituals of the Jewish faith. #WithamHall

Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic day at Burghley learning about what it would have been like to have worked there during the reign of Queen Victoria 👑 The children got to examine artefacts, play Victorian parlour games as well as expand their knowledge! #WithamHall

#WithamHall had a fantastic day at the U11 IAPS Sport Regional Netball Competition. Despite some formidable opposition, the team came third in their section 🥉 and won the overall Plate Competition 🥇 Well done girls!
