yo guys I know I haven't been posting for a while, but I'm proud to announce that I'm working at Câret Software alongside with Leôn and others as a programmer. It's such a talented team and I'm so happy to be working on the project!

I don't think a lot of gaming fans realize just how many future releases have evaporated into thin air over the last 18 months Projects canceled, teams scattered to the wind... so many of the experiences that were going to surprise and delight over the next 2-5 years just gone

Game development is just saying "I can finish this game this month" every month.

the "good games ship with bad code" argument isnt enough anymore. we need to really examine these cultural side effects of spending all day watching youtube game dev tutorials to "prepare to make my dream game" instead of just starting small and making things yourself

The worst bit about doing optimisation work is it always looks so god damned goofy in your portfolio. "Here is a screenshot of the game. Now here is the exact same screenshot but the FPS number in the corner is now 60 instead of 25. You would not believe how much work this took."
