V nice dinner tonight at #Lookout Restaurant on Carlton Hill, Edinburgh. It was surrounded by mist when we arrived but fabulous views when the mist lifted. Beautifully prepared food with matching wines despite slight confusion on the grape varieties in a white Rioja!

What do people think about The Wine Society doing a Vins du Beaujolais nouveau offer this year?? They say there was demand and they are using a decent producer (Ajoux) but I still think it risks devaluing Beaujolais - as it did before. #notonouveau

Currently in Dumfries to do the refresher course in order to maintain my Personal Licence. Quite a long trip from Dunbar but I found a good sounding course from DG Training. I only occasionally need to apply for an Occasional Licence for my wine events, but it is important.
