Students in Foods II learned how to set up ice baths to cool their soup through the temperature danger zone and down to 41 degrees. Tomorrow, they’ll reheat, garnish and eat!

Students in Foods II brought yesterday’s soup up to reheat temp, adjusted the consistency w/additional stock and then adjusted the seasoning to industry standard. #ServSafe

Our first baking lab in Foods I resulted in near-perfect products. Students got to work with new-to-them equipment (hand mixers); worked on achieving uniform color (rotating pans); & discussed the downfalls of over mixing cookie batter🍪
