Thanks to a new R35 MIRA grant from @NIGMS, we are hiring postdocs. Join us if you're interested in developing neural networks to study & predict the DNA-binding targets of transcription factors. Apply at link, or get in touch with questions. Please RT! psu.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/PSU_Acad…
Excited to share my last graduate work is finally out! Bai Lab PSU We developed the Chemically Induced Chromosomal Interaction (CICI) method to introduce loops in the genome and study their biological function. nature.com/articles/s4146…
Thrilled to have the first paper out of Lai lab! Awesome infrastructure development spearheaded by Qi Sun, Ali Nematbakhsh, and Prashant Kuntala. Cornell Institute of Biotechnology prashant kuntala doi.org/10.1371/journa…
Beautiful work from Michael Poirier, Bai Lab PSU and Song Tan's lab, showing how bHLH pioneer TFs can interact with nucleosomes. Work is done with yeast TFs Pho4 and Cbf1, but I think there are obvious lessons for mammalian bHLH pioneer TFs like Ascl1 & Neurog2.
Shao, WilliamKMLai & co present PEGR, a platform for epigenomic and genomic research. It's an end-to-end management platform that tracks experiments from sample information for the wet-lab work, through sequencing and analysis, to figures for publication genomebiology.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…
Happy to announce that I'll be the interim director of the Cornell Epigenomics Core Facility. We're looking to hire multiple positions! cornell.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/CornellCareerP… cornell.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/CornellCareerP… Apply today and join a proud history of being recruited into industry! 😅

Congratulations to Chitvan Mittal Chitvan Mittal and Olivia Lang on their awesome Genes & Development paper out today! Cool story on TFs and cofactors being always ready to lend a helping hand to PIC assembly. Performed Dr. B. Franklin Pugh
Pol II pausing is an important regulatory step in gene expression. Its present in most animals, but absent in yeast. How and when did pausing evolve? Check out our latest by Alexandra G. Chivu. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
