Anti-woke fighting #schoolcapture in South Africa. I have been told that my essays are “inflammatory.”

Lukhona Mnguni Lukhona, I don't mind be criticised, but really, there is no need to be so dishonest. I mean this is from the very article you cite:

If a journal is considered 'thoroughly captured' for publishing peer-reviewed systematic evidence reviews addressing important medical questions instead of relying on the 'lived experience' of activists, then I hope more journals become thoroughly captured.

If you capitulated to people like this then your integrity is indelibly stained. And if you joined the mob against those of us who were fighting these screeching cry-bullies and their deranged, harmful ideas, then it is unclear how much shame would be sufficient for atonement.

Classical liberals are not responsible for bringing American cultural sewage into South Africa.

But it’s here. It’s in our universities, our schools and our newsrooms - poisoning everything.

MPC parties deserve credit for rising above themselves enough to work together. If SA is ever going to be better governed, it needs leaders and supporters prepared to do that. There isn’t another way.

The collapse of the R9trillion residential property market in SA is IMO having an effect on car sales, sales of furniture, construction, and a host of other industries listed on JSE linked to a normal, healthy property market.
Watch out for my article on Biznews on this issue…

How should we classify Rise Mzansi, BOSA and Action SA?

The Woke Wing of the Democratic Alliance?

Is that accurate?

I don’t trust Rise Mzansi. Way too many lefty “social justice activists” people in their ranks 🇵🇸🏳️‍⚧️ Recent statements have also made it clear they don’t understand how policing, education or housing works. Basically a more woke ANC of “activists” with no experience.

Disaster statement. Amateur politics. Clearly no idea who their potential voters are. They aren't rural by the way. Alienating those that could vote for you. Comments below this post indicate as such. Embarrassing really.

Richard Wilkinson Well I recall it taking a good few years to turn around CT when Helen et al took over. I think people forget how messy coalitions really are and how long it takes to remove cadres from entrenched positions.
Makes Pappas work, on a smaller scale, even more impressive in howick.

Critical race theory promotes a dangerous narrative of collective guilt and resentment, pitting individuals against each other based on immutable characteristics.

Our classrooms should be places of learning and development, not ideological battlegrounds.

Exactly. There will always be money for increases, perks, bonuses, fancy new cars, junkets overseas and VIP protection. Notice the pattern?

Ekurhuleni downgraded further into junk - Caa2 - whilst in Tshwane things are stabilising.

It’s like turning an oil tanker around. Slowly you start to see progress.

Bear in mind that the 5-party coalition government is doing this in Tshwane with a 2 seat majority:

108-106.
