Yet these problems aren't unique to Scotland.

Wildlife in Scotland can sleep safely tonight after Holyrood voted through a complete ban on fox snares, alongside grouse moor licensing.

It follows on from a ban on snares being introduced in Wales earlier this year, leaving England lagging behind.

Great news! @ScotGov today passed legislation to licence grouse moors, enhancing powers to combat wildlife crime and environmental harm.

Grouse moors associated with wildlife crime or environmental harm risk suspension of their license, leading to closure.

This week we celebrated planting the one millionth sphagnum moss plant at Dove Stone. We have been working in partnership with RSPB since 2010, to restore the landscape and build resilience. The benefits of sphagnum moss are huge and we are so proud to have hit this milestone.

The best way to manage moorland is by working with nature.🌿

Our goal is to restore the uplands to boost wildlife and habitats, tackle climate change and prevent flooding. Simple.🤷
