If you are a Nurse who makes 6 figures (& you’re not an NP and it’s not the norm to make 6 figs in your state), what do you do? Comment, network, and share ⬇️

Nurses: “Nurses are barely surviving, why are you telling them to launch side hustles & build businesses?” Me: “Bc you’re barely surviving,” BUILD WEALTH ➡️ CREATE FREEDOM

If you aren’t happy in your nursing career, DO something about it! Don’t sit in a job the rest of your life that is draining you or compromising your mental health. Figure out what your gifts, talents, & goals are. Then go pursue a job that helps you use & achieve more of those!

It’s completely unrealistic to EXPECT nurses to remain in the same job they started w/ for the rest of their career. We go through so many seasons & changes in life that bring different schedule, emotional, environment, & physical needs! Job change is a normal & HEALTHY thing!

Can someone explain to me why I was required to take Geometry in highschool - but NEVER a course on how to do your taxes?! Good thing I’m prepared for Polygon Season! 🤪

You’re at that age as a nurse where the real luxuries are: -weekends and holidays off -a job where you know what you’re coming into -“when you clock out” is predictable & consistent -working remotely -no call or mandatory OT -having a non-political environment

We are taught in the nursing world that success is a title, advanced degree, certification, etc… There’s this constant underlying pressure to go back to school, climb the ladder, & achieve more. REAL success is simply being happy & emotionally healthy in WHATEVER you do!

The world’s definition of “Success” is so funny to me. We’re put down a path to do all this traditional education to get traditional jobs and pushed to go back to school (which gives institutions so much money and barely bumps your pay once you’re done…. 🤔) cont….

I was looked down upon as a Nurse w/ an Associate’s Degree. I was always asked when I was going back & couldn’t get leadership positions bc of my degree. I chose to build my own business & now I coach Nurses w/ BSNs, Masters, PhD’s & DNPs! Paving your own path has ZERO limits!

Not having weekends & holidays off is not a reality you just “have to accept.” There are TON of non-traditional jobs that are low stress, flexible, & pay well that don’t require you to work those days! If someone has ever said “well this is what you signed up for.”, they lied🫶

All of the fears that are keeping you in a job you hate are ILLUSIONS. You will never regret leaving a job that is sucking the life out of you for ANY reason (regardless of what others tell you). Take the leap into something healthier and new!

When you truly wrap your mind around the idea that we TRULY have only ONE life and we’re not promised tomorrow, you show up differently. FEAR IS JUST AN ILLUSION! Chase your dreams and go after the things that scare you. You will grow the most & find the most happiness!

Not feeling qualified for a nursing job? Remember, many employers are looking for potential & a good cultural fit rather than a perfect match to the job description. Showing a willingness to learn and a passion for the role can often outweigh missing qualifications!!!!

The FEAR of leaving a toxic job and giving your two weeks is WAY scarier than actually doing it. Start the search for a healthier non-traditional job. Just START searching and apply. Put one foot in front of the other and take it step by step. I PROMISE you will find freedom!

My greatest memories growing up were on the holidays. As nurses, we’re encouraged (& gas lit) to accept & believe that working holidays is the sacrifice we MUST make. NOT true. There are SO many options in the nursing world today that don’t require holidays OR weekends.

There’s a lot of internal pressure to climb the academic nursing ladder in order to be “successful.” But you know what success actually is? It’s being happy taking care of people in whatever role you’re in w/ whatever degree u have. It’s leaving your job being emotionally whole.

Start the side hustle. Grow that biz. Take that risk… Make MONEY so you can walk out of the jobs and situations that you DON’T LIKE!
