The Arkansas football team last played Memphis (3-0) in October 1998, almost 27 years ago. However, the Razorbacks (2-1) are familiar with Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium and the city, having won the Liberty Bowl there after the 2022 and 2024 seasons. wholehogsports.com/news/2025/sep/…

Former Arkansas football coach Danny Ford has an explicit warning for the current Razorbacks: They’d better buckle it up for Saturday’s 11 a.m. Central kickoff at Memphis. wholehogsports.com/news/2025/sep/…

It’s sunny here at Simmons Liberty Bank Stadium a little under an hour out from Arkansas-Memphis. It’s a scorcher down here on the astroturf, and highs are expected around 90 during the game. Will be interesting to see if heat plays a role in the game.

Taylen Green's 62-yard touchdown pass to tight end Rohan Jones put him at 12 TDs already this year. That's just 3 shy of his total from last season.

Some miscues on the first defensive drive for Arkansas, but holding Memphis to a FG was a win. Razorbacks lead 7-3 with 8:57 left in 1Q.

This was the longest TD reception for an Arkansas tight end under Sam Pittman. It was the longest since Cheyenne O'Grady's 62-yard score vs. Colorado State in 2019.

Memphis goes ahead of Arkansas 10-7 with 20 seconds left in the 1Q after an 11-play, 71-yard drive ended with a 4-yard keeper by Brendon Lewis. The Razorbacks had a chance to down him around the 1 but he powered through tacklers.

Arkansas trails Memphis 10-7 after the first quarter. Aside from a good opening drive, not much went right for the Razorbacks in the first 15 minutes.

Good response for the Arkansas offense and strong running by Braylen Russell to put together a 6-play, 77-yard drive to go ahead of Memphis 14-10 early in 2Q.

After trailing 28-10 in the first half, Memphis has made this one a game. Brendon Lewis went untouched on a 10-yard keeper for a TD before a 2-point try failed. Arkansas leads 31-26 with 1:40 left in the 3Q.

Big third down conversion for Arkansas on the final play of the third quarter. The Razorbacks were 0 of 5 on the down prior to Taylen Green's 15-yard pass to O'Mega Blake. Arkansas will have first-and-10 from the Memphis 26, clinging to a 31-26 lead when the 4Q begins.

It's gut-check time for Arkansas. Memphis takes a 32-31 lead with 4:51 to play after a 64-yard house call by Sutton Smith and failed 2-point try. The non-OPI call in the first half looms large right about now.
