Stop the insanity.

Education in the future will be fundamentally different. The most compelling part about knowing that is, if you listen with the right intent and have enough guts, you can just go ahead and build that future right now. Waiting is for the birds. Balking is for the fearful.

Titles don’t matter anymore; shipping does. We’ve got to see through the veil of societal norms to identify humans committed to delivering. “They” may look, sound, be different/prone to tears when considering the state of edu. In fact, they better be, or change may be miles away.

I agree with this sentiment entirely. But we need a new word for “governance” to more accurately define it in this context. We’re talking about replacing human-based systems of auditing, taxing, accounting, and resolving non-critical legal activities. “Governance” feels scary.

The incessant social pressure to choose a side on all issues will be our downfall. Seeking understanding has been traded for choosing teams. Empathy for judgment. Complexity for simplicity. Learning for ignorance. Quiet for loud. How disastrous. How increasingly violent.
