Well done to Blayne who has competed in the Home Counties Boxing Championship, and he has won it for a second year in a row. He will now be going to Kent to box in the pre-quarter of the National Championships against the current England number 1. Good luck Blayne!

In April, 36 of our Year 9s took part in a DofE Bronze training day at Boars Hill. They learned key expedition skills, from cooking under the stars to map reading, in preparation for their May expedition. A fantastic opportunity to build teamwork, resilience, and leadership!

A record 97 Year 7 & 8 students took part in today’s Junior Maths Challenge at Whitelands! 🧠🧮 They tackled advanced problems in a national competition and did brilliantly. We’re so proud and can’t wait to hear how they’ve done—lots of smiles & great maths talk after!

This week a handful of students in Years 7-9 got the opportunity to explore and interact with professors and undergraduate students at Trinity College, University of Oxford. Hopefully our students were inspired to be one of the 90 pupils they intake each year.

Our Year 8 students recently took part in an athletics competition, going head-to-head with students from other schools in North Oxfordshire. Each competed in a range of events, including throwing, jumping and a sprint. Well done to all who took part - you made us proud!

Whitelands Academy students spent a sunny May weekend in the Chiltern Hills for their Bronze qualifying & Silver practice DofE expeditions—exploring, cooking meals, and camping out after a hard day’s journey through the countryside.

A big well done to Harry in Year 8 for competing in the England Boxing Championships! He did amazingly well, finishing in third place at the largest venue he's ever been to and even met some famous boxers. Harry is aiming for gold next year! 🥉🥊✨

Year 10 students participated in mock interviews yesterday at Whitelands, with industry professionals from Winvic, Buckingham University, and Thames Valley Police, to name a few. This unique experience will better prepare them for the future. Thank you to all who participated! 😊

Last week our Year 9 students returned from a trip of a lifetime to Thailand. They spent time in a Thai school, visited an elephant sanctuary, helped out at an orphanage and immersed themselves into life in Bangkok. They managed to raise an incredible £6800 for the orphanage!

Congratulations to all Year 7 students who participated in the Banbury and District Schools Athletics event! Your courage, team spirit, and determination shone through as you tried new events and earned valuable points for Whitelands. Well done on a fantastic effort! 🎉💪

Our Under 15’s girls’ football team have marched through to the 3rd round of the National Cup, beating Cranford 7-1. The girls showed great teamwork throughout the game. Our next round opponents are yet to be confirmed but we have an away trip to Berkshire. Well done girls!
