34 games ran in 2024, 1 short off my best year but life stuff happens. This summer was GB homebrew themed, later did licensed NES in over 3 years, some w/out runs so that was nice to route but the list for those left is very limited. Playing new homebrew is more enjoyable for me.

Paw Noir on C64, a puzzle platformer. You are a cat with 9 lives, dying leaves a body behind, use bodies to get to the ball of yarn at the end. I found some creative solutions, nice visuals overall. Similar to Mortol in UFO50. 🕵️🐱 youtube.com/watch?v=abG4rB…

Hundra for Amstrad CPC. A short little platformer, run around and collect 3 crystals, then save the king. Controls pretty well, and has those classic Amstrad chunky, colorful pixels. Cool run. youtube.com/watch?v=kWmhZM…

El Linaje Real on Amstrad. A decent, short platformer. Mostly just make your way thru the stages and fight the boss. A number of jumps are seemingly pixel perfect, so that can be annoying, and the RNG of the final boss is a bit rough. ⚔️ youtube.com/watch?v=UriBdv…

Souls Keeper by Oniric Factor on MSX, homebrew platformer from 2021. Relatively simple route, grab items to progress. Can only hold 2 at once so that's really the only consideration. No iframes so be careful with enemies. Solid little game. 🗡️ youtube.com/watch?v=TD1OoA…

Hissatsu! on Saturn. A very short ninja platformer. 4 characters but I only use 2. Mostly run thru the stages, avoiding combat if possible. Based on a popular JP TV series about assassins. Feels like it could have been a SNES or Genesis game. youtube.com/watch?v=yV4jCz…

Ninja Jajamaru-kun on Saturn, a really cool 3D platformer. Stages are simple, make it to the exit. Other part is 1 on 1 boss fights. Good bit of RNG on bosses and bonus games. Feels like a lost N64 game to me. Classic era DnB music. No other runs I found. youtube.com/watch?v=L2-yRI…
