If you’re looking for standability, choose AAC Hockley! With its semi-dwarf stature and sturdy straw, this variety has a very strong lodging resistance – and that’s on top of its unsurpassed disease package and high yields. Check out the data: bit.ly/47u7vos

Imagine driving up to your nearly ripe wheat crop to find plants cut off and lying every which way. Devastating! Was it hail? No, the unwanted pest was wheat stem sawfly. Read the new Agronomy Matters column by Sheri Strydhorst of RDAR (Results Driven Agriculture Research). hubs.li/Q02Xgmj10

Immense is a strong word. Is there replicated multi-site and multi-year data available from field trialing in target environments to support hypothesis? Breeding is a relatively quick process to deliver varieties with numerous improvements.

AAC Hockley wheat running through cleaners today. Slow, consistent cleaning for uniform seed size. This CWRS is a top performer and will be our most popular variety in 2025.

The @saskseed knives come in handy for checking lines for stem solidness! Full pith expression is hard to get in bread wheat. Having good success by using 🧬 selection in lab and field phenotyping. Check out AAC Oakman SeCan and stay tuned for new lines coming 🌾

Great to hear from growers at Sask Wheat's Coffee Shop Talk in Davidson yesterday. One topic was mowing kochia - suggested timing is at or before flowering to prevent HR pollen movement. If you've not seen them flowering, here are a few images to show the flowers as reference.
