We were treated to a visit from Moon and Sixpence Travelling Marionette theatre for Active/ Wellbeing week. Infants-2nd classes, witnessed a fabulous rendition of 'Little Red Riding Hood' and 3rd-6th classes were entertained by the storytelling and lessons in  'Over the Rainbow'

Almost 400 pupils took part in the #SkippingTakeOver event as part of #ASW25. We all had so much fun learning to skip over the last 4weeks and have reached destinations far beyond Europe!!! Congratulations to all the children!! Active School Flag

Junior Infants went on a Wildlife Safari around the school and fields with Calvin Jones from Ireland's Wildlife. They found lots of wildlife including insects, birds and plants.

What a fantastic win our girls had today at the Sciath na Scol Final in Páirc Uí Chaoimh! We couldn't be prouder! What a fantastic day out for all the children from 2nd-6th! The Hill Abú!

Huge congratulations to Ryan in 6th class who won 2 medals in the All Ireland Trampoline Final. He won a bronze medal in the individual event and GOLD in the synchronized event! Well done Ryan!

A special assembly was held yesterday afternoon to celebrate the arrival of the Eamon Ryan Cup to Watergrasshill NS. Mr Prout announced no homework for all the children to mark the occasion! 🟥⬜

Well done to all those boys and girls who represented the school superbly today at the City Sports and brought so many trophies and plaques home! What a week for WGHNS!!

Fifth Classes were treated to a screening of the movie Holes in the First Fruits on Friday when they finished reading the novel. They also got some treats from Johnny's for the occasion! Many thanks to Barry Curtin for setting up the cinema for them! A wonderful day was had!
