Frank our apprentice who has been with us for around three months will tell you where he is and what he's doing. Backed off the mowing slightly this week so it gave us an opportunity to get the practice tee divoted. We'll stuck at lads πŸ‘

Chipping away at verti draining greens over the next week or so without disrupting any golf. 1"2 tines to a depth of around 7". Will just relive a bit of compation and let the greens breath, will aid root development as well.

Fourth spray of the week already! Wetting agent/ root drench mix today. Tee's, approaches and green surrounds are the other areas we have sprayed this week with a foliar feed growth reg mix. These mixes are a nice follow up to some intense mowing the last few weeks

Sprayed the remaining 9 fairways today for weeds. We were hoping not to but the weeds have kept coming. All bunker edges and banks have been sprayed for weeds today also.

The new irrigation system is working fantastically well but it will never stop the need to hand water at certain times, all part of moisture management. Been out three mornings this week concentrating on hot spots.

Two items follow:- 1/. **For your safety**. The tree on left of 14th fairway approx 100yds from 14th red tee has split. It will remain cordoned off until a decision can be made on its future. Golfers must NOT retrieve golf balls from within the cordon under any circumstances.

2/. **Advance warning**. On Monday 16/9 & Tuesday 17/9, 8th hole to play around to the right to practice chipping green. This is to allow for some additional drainage works to the main 8th approach & upper part of the fairway. WHS scores will still apply on those dates.

Agronomy visit took place yesterday - thanks to Michael Boyes for his advice. All efforts are focussed on getting us through the winter and into next season in good shape.
