📚 School meals bridge the gap between hunger and education, supporting local farmers and creating positive change. World Food Programme works with governments and partners around the world to provide nutritious school meals, enabling children to stay in class and reach their full potential.


Shocked and horrified: 9 team members from World Food Programme’s partner Relief International were killed while saving lives in Zamzam camp, a place gripped by famine. Mombasa Port in Kenya is a vital artery for World Food Programme operations across East & Central Africa, and beyond––bringing lifesaving food to millions of people in 14 countries AND providing the logistics backbone that powers the entire humanitarian response. These supply chains save lives.

This is one of World Food Programme’s largest warehouses in Kenya—vital for operations across the region––and nearly empty. In operations like the refugee response in Kenya, food rations have already been cut by 60%. Without urgent funding, we cannot feed half of the people we normally reach.


.WFP Uganda is delivering food assistance to 1.6M people in 13 refugee settlements every day across the country. It’s one of our most complex, high-volume operations—and it’s what World Food Programme does best. I’m so proud of our team for their unwavering dedication to people in urgent need.
