GLOW It was entirely by chance that this is how I've ended my curation of the account, as you lovely people chose tonight's viewing, but, for me

GLOW GLOW is a show, above other things, about being human. Yes, the meta element is great - right up my alley, in fact. A tv show about

GLOW the writing and making of a tv show? ✔️ characters who create their own roles and then perform them? ✔️ the Nabokov scholar in me is 100% 😍

GLOW But the presentation of people - women people, no less! - who feel authentic is GLOW's greatest strength IMO.

GLOW All week we've been asking & discussing impacts & implications of modes & mediums of storytelling, from Twitter threads to the #MCU to

GLOW binge-watching. What can we tell about our own humanity from them? And how do they affect the Humanities, & the way that we all 'humanity'?

GLOW (yes, still using that as a verb - can't stop won't stop)

Well, IMO, they let us use 21st century media in resourceful, interesting ways to continue to create, shape & share our lives & stories,

our interests-research/otherwise.There's an immediacy that connects all parts of the stories we tell&consume,&that connect us to each other.

That, for me, is the importance of the types of storytelling we've considered - social/new media, transmedia storyworlds, streaming services

Now, I have to confess - I can't finish GLOW tonight.I'm exhausted. But! I will finish it tomo by replying here from my own account.
