Sometimes when researching family history, you can come across sad stories, just like this one of a foundling baptism in the composite register of baptisms, marriages and burials from Northchapel in 1743. It can be assumed that the baby was found in a barn due to the surname.

As well as the #CrawleyNewTown archive, we also hold records of Crawley Community Association. The Association were absolutely vital with helping to integrate migrants from London with the "old towners" during the 1950s, offering assistance and promoting local events πŸ‘‹
