West Metro Company 2 was first on scene at the structure fire on Kipling near 9th Avenue this morning. This video is from Tower 2 as they arrived. The smoke from the fire could be seen for miles, and as the crew pulls up, you can see the flames rolling out from the front side.

UPDATE: The garage had been converted to a living space, no one was home at the time of the fire. A neighboring home sustained some damage from heat exposure. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

WMFR responding to a structure fire in a single-family home in the 1000 block of S. Harlan Way in Lakewood. Several 911 calls indicated neighbors could see smoke and flames. Everyone is believed to be out of the structure. Updates to follow.
