Is it possible to write a serious, non-bullshit, paper mentioning crypto, quantum, *and* AI ? We answer this question positively in a joint work with Wessel van Woerden Marc Stevens, solving Darmstadt lattice challenge SVP-180 using AI-purpose hardware.eprint.iacr.org/2021/141.pdf
Update from Léo Ducas @[email protected] and Wessel van Woerden: the special lattice problem considered in the new work can be solved easily and classically (no quantum) using standard tools LLL+Babai. So, no quantum advantage has been shown, nor anything new classically. github.com/lducas/BDD-note
Announcing the lattice-based cryptography club! Do you want to learn this type of cryptography? Find resources here: thelatticeclub.com Beautifully curated by Octavio Pérez Kempner and me. Thank you Tancrède Lepoint Muhammed Esgin Cecilia Boschini and more for allowing us to put your amazing thesis there!
HAWK : It's kind of like FALCON, but without the Floating-Point hassle. And it signs 5 to 30 time faster. Co-designed with Eamonn Postlethwaite, Ludo Pulles & Wessel van Woerden
It turns out that the task of breaking a cryptographic system can, in some cases, be recast as another problem: finding a relatively short vector in a lattice. A new approach helps researchers do this more efficiently. Maddie Goldberg reports: quantamagazine.org/celebrated-cry…
It was a great pleasure to get together and share ideas between two wonderful communities last week at our attacc-workshop on lattice- and code-based cryptanalysis, co-organized with Felicitas Hörmann at DLR - English😀 Thanks for joining us! dlr.de/kn/attacc
