Did you know women can be freemasons too? As it's #InternationalWomensDay, here's Grand Master Aimée Bothwell Goss and members of the Ancient Order of Freemasonry for Men and Women, taken in Plymouth in 1935. #Freemasonry #MuseumFreemasonry #WomenFreemasons #FreeMuseumLondon

It’s always fascinating revisit lodge history, and exploring other lodges. We have a brief history of our lodge here wentworthlodge.org/history/

We’ve been down in the basement looking through our archives. From minutes of our consecration in December 1868, to gifts from lodge visitors over 100 years ago. We’re truly blessed to have such a rich culture not just in Wentworth but across our fraternity #freemasonry

Brethren (and prospectives/interested parties), when you visit our site, what are your first impressions? A redesign is on the horizon so we want to understand what works and what doesn’t. Thank you all in advance! wentworthlodge.org

Fantastic ceremony of passing last night. A truly engaged candidate combined with superb ritual, shared with new and returning visitors. #freemasonry #sheffield #brotherhood

Summer recess is nearly upon us. If your lodge is dormant in July then we'd be honoured to have you visit for a ceremony of raising on Monday 3rd July at Tapton Hall, Sheffield #freemasonry

Today is St. John’s Day. On this day in 1717, four well-established London Lodges came together at the Goose and Gridiron tavern to establish the first Grand Lodge, to which United Grand Lodge of England can trace its roots #freemasonry #history #masonic

Such a wonderful experience to have a full lodge room for a raising. We were honoured to have nearly as many visiting Brethren as members of the lodge which made the ceremony all the more special #freemasonry #fraternity #brotherhood

It is with deep regret that we bid farewell to the Wentworth Lodge No. 1239, a beacon of Freemasonry and tradition for over a century and a half. Though the lodge may close its doors, its legacy will forever shine as a guiding light for Sheffield Masons wentworthlodge.org
