A year into SE therapy, I developed a flinch, where my right side jerked back as if avoiding a blow
It lasted for months, all day long
My therapist & I work by slowing it down to maximize my brain understanding I’m protecting myself now
I will ward off the assault

Humans, however, have learn to retain & internalize, trapping the trauma
When it is released, people often shake and tremor

Hey Everybody
I made it to chat despite feeling crummy with Covid

48 hours after first sprouting, look at this beast!

They are huge now!
Some of them already have gills that open, so I’m not sure if I should harvest those ones, even though they are small

My mushrooms are growing!
They grew an inch overnight

Well, I’d say that’s a pretty clear beacon
Crapolla 🤦‍♀️
At least I don’t feel nearly as crummy as my first time
Honestly thought it was a mild cold

Cuteness overload

Attended a watermedia workshop at Opus Granville Island this morning
Noodled around w/Holbein watercolours & gouache on Legion Stonehenge papers

And we even got swag at the end!
We got to keep paint tubes, a bunch of paper & a charcoal sketching set
So amazing for a $10 workshop

I made housky!
(Czech braided salt buns)

And oh, the house smells divine
I will be making them again, for sure

Feeling all sorts today — because I’m tirer
So that makes me extra emotional that my kid is turning 22 today, I forgot the special candles for the cake & I only have money as a gift — so unoriginal

I know I’m good enough, but I’m really struggling with worry for their wellness

What a delight of joy & tears, richness in sights & sounds

Then the dumb b!tches behind us yapping the whole time that I fantasized choice fight moves to put them in their place 🤣

Thinking back on times I was triggered in therapy, I was grateful for the soft shawl I carried with me as a blanket
Also, my bunny stuffie
Feeling the soft textures soothed the fear & anxiety
Lavender oil helped too
Textural & olfactory distractions can ease activation

Well, I got lucky yesterday!

I finally got around to the plant nursery, to pick up some colourful annuals for the balcony

Planted them and got to enjoy some time outside in the afternoon

Woke up to rain today
But now I have some cheerful blossoms

I got my fucks back! 🤣

My boss gave away my fuck sign on my himlayan salt rock at work, because a customer really wanted

Finally got it replaced, along with some ant traps I needed for the balcony
Another reason why I love the people I work with

I bought myself a mushroom growing kit

Well, my laptop died

It turns on, I hear the fan, but nothing comes up on the monitor

Tried plugging it into the tv w/an hdmi cable
no picture came up

Damn it

Why can’t computers give a warning about impending doom so we can prepare to get a new one before it craps out?

Made some traditional palačinky (crepe/blintz) for dessert, just like my babi made
Served it with sweetened cottage cheese, and seabuckthorn preserves (an experiment that worked)
