I've seen the entires interview. What stands out is his understanding of what makes Everton tick. The importance of the fans. He's bought into our culture in a way Dyche hasn't. Would he come back ? In a heartbeat. Get it done.

The Bill Shankly I knew features prominently in my autobiography which will hopefully be released by the end of November. The times I spent with Bill at Radio City were priceless. He was a giant of a man. Not in stature but in personality and character.

He was mesmeric. We spent a day together in Bruges prior to the second leg of the '76 UEFA Cup Final. Then he joined me for Radio City's match commentary. He made me feel like St.Peter.πŸ˜‡ And he knew I was a Blue.

Played over 80 times for Bolton scoring over 30 goals.Numerous assists too. At Granada we were always keen to cover Bolton because Frank was box office.

There is over a chapter on Shanks, who I spent a lot of time with. A never to be forgotten train journey to London,a day in Bruges and much more.

Depends on your interpretation of "come and go". Managers come and go and so do players. Fans are permanent. What don't you understand about being an Evertonian ?

Nothing about Frank would surprise me. In my book I tell the story about the day he arrived at Prenton Park. I was there. It was typical Frank.
