Recent heavy rains in the region are taking a heavy toll on people - including refugees - destroying property & causing further displacement; demonstrating the #climate crisis hits the most vulnerable, the hardest.

UNHCR is working with govts & partners to provide relief items.

Some 20,000 refugees are displaced from their homes and shelters in the Dadaab refugee camps due to flooding.

UNHCR and partners are distributing blankets, sleeping mats, mosquito nets, dignity kits, water purifiers, jerrycans, soap & kitchen sets to those most in need.

Today UNHCR supported flood-affected people, alongside Government of Kenya and UN Kenya, with blankets, mats, jerrycans and mosquito nets.
