This afternoon we held our first Mothers' Union branch meeting since the first lockdown began. We are sadly fewer in number and some of us definitely look older - but so good to be together for fellowship and prayer.

When I get stuck with my writing a walk always helps. One of my favourite places is Portland. It brings back many happy memories of my childhood. My book, 'A Pennyworth of Peppermints' begins with a message in a bottle found on Chesil beach. It is a WW1 spy story.

Finished this painting today - I enjoyed working on it. A box of books arrived, too - to replace my stock which has sold over the past few weeks - so good to know that children are getting the books, and hopefully, enjoying them.

It was exciting to learn today that a 96 year old stayed up most of the night because she couldn't out down the latest book, 'The Boy, the Truck and the Fish Lorry', a real life story from Uganda. published by DayOne Publications at £6.00

A great afternoon at the Chickerell Friendship club, talking to them about how and why I began to write books. I sold 10 books, which was encouraging.

Today we have been to Bridport for a book 'event' at Good Books. There were nice cosy armchairs to sit in and chat to customers; hot drinks and home made cake! The shop had prepared a lovely display and we had some interested customers.
