Uninstalled Metamask today... End of an era! Who's building an Ethereum-only wallet that doesn't sell out to the garbage chains?

Hundreds of millions were invested trying to build consumer applications that use blockchains and nothing beyond token trading has worked at scale. Good attempts in fields like gaming, messaging, social media, content distribution and more. The reason: awful wallet’s ergonomics.

CoSNARKs are overrated! I get asked all the time about my thoughts on CoSNARKs and I basically repeat the same thing. Writing this thread to share my thoughts and spur some much needed public debates on system design for apps that use PETs.

a bitcoin transaction just got mined for 11 sats. 11 SATS. when the block subsidy drops, BITCOIN IS COMPLETELY SCREWED SECURITY-WISE, and we will dance over its grave THE ONLY WAY FOR BITCOIN TO SURVIVE IS AS AN L2 ON ETHEREUM, SPREAD THE WORD

Story time: One Saturday a few weeks ago, Georgios Konstantopoulos and me were chatting IRL in Singapore. The question we discussed was: "what are the highest impact to effort stuff that can speed up EVM execution?". The next Monday, the ACD call to decide if the fate of EOF for Fusaka

Metamask added Solana support and added Solana at the top of the list as default - replacing Ethereum. How incredibly tone deaf and stupid. What an amazing way to alienate your entire core userbase.

Ethereum is much harder to capture than Bitcoin Bitcoin is insanely centralized in a few devs, many paid by VC-backed Blockstream Ethereum has many client teams in many different programming languages Unlike Btc, ETH is resistant to the whims of a few devs

To get an EIP in, you have to convince the 5 main client teams. The EIP will be completely dissected with loads of discussions, profiling, tests. Unrivalled engineering rigor, coordination. Trust me bro, it’s definitely not “just a few devs”. Hats off to the teams.
