We’re having a Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning; pupils wrote a shared piece of writing to create an invitation, and some made posters. Then this afternoon we went round the village delivering our invitations to some of our local friends and family! #buildingcommunity 😊

I was ready for #MathsWeekScotland but tomorrow I have CCR, thank goodness, to try to flip it to home learning tasks. Is it sad that making up maths activities for home is something I really enjoyed about pandemic home learning??

Also, this is my first year since probation without having a September weekend and boy am I jealous of all my friends who seem to have gone on mini-breaks 🥲 (But I’ll make up for it when the tattie holidays are two weeks long 😜)

Some interesting responses here. I’d be keen to know if there are educators out there doing a study on ‘post’-pandemic teaching and children’s development. I work with primary children aged 5-11 and I see it in almost every interaction. What’s been your perception of changes?

Anything more soul destroying than spending literal days setting work for three days of home learning and seeing absolutely no engagement by lunchtime on the first day? 😭😭😭 (Yes, of course I set a jamboard as part of task 1, just so I could work out who was doing it!)

We had such a great day out at @UllapoolHarbour today! We got to meet some new sea-based friends, took a tour, measured some growing oysters, did sea water testing, and went on a shore scavenger hunt! Big thanks to Kevin and Ailsa for a fantastic, educational day!
