“The sandlot is dead. Kids don’t play the game on their own anymore.” We need to give kids the space to play the game on their own for fun. There is no greater gift than letting a kid just play the sport they love for fun, without fear of failure.

A little plug to our high school principals. Provide a little grace for your fall coaches at the start of the year meetings. If there isn't something dire that they need to attend or be on time for, maybe let them be at practice or even a little late to the meeting.
