Arrived safely at AWP LA. A bit of overwhelm but fun to see lots of friends. Pro-tip Bring H2O and antihistimines (had an asthma attack at bookfair) Readings, friends, beach, book haul, flowers

Observations from LA visit: LA is more diverse and friendlier than Seattle. It's so pleasant to talk to people on the street, young people especially, but to me it feels surprising when strangers come up and say something nice - I've been in the Pac NW too long, lol.
