Today, 11th July 2024, WE REACH joined the rest of Africa to celebrate the eighth African Anti-Corruption Day in Kakamega county under the theme “Effective Whistleblower Protection Mechanisms: A Critical Tool in the Fight Against Corruption.” #africaunitedagainstcorruption

WE REACH is pleased to have taken part in a two-day training organised by @TisaKenya that aimed at fostering understanding on matters Accountability, and establishing public advocacy campaign platforms on social Accountability, access to information and Anti-Corruption.

WE REACH visited the 10 schools we have been working with this year in our WASH IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS PROGRAM to introduce the end-of-year evaluation. We're thrilled to see significant improvements in WASH since we began our partnership at the start of the year. #WASH #Education

"WE REACH organized a training for 24 youth anti-corruption champions, with two representatives from each of the 12 sub-counties in Kakamega County. The champions are set to play a crucial role in fighting corruption and promoting social accountability within their communities."

WE REACH held successful end-year impact feedback workshops with head teachers and teacher health champions from our partner schools in Mumias East Sub County, reflecting on the 2024 WASH program. The discussions highlighted successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.

WE REACH participated in a two-day training organized by CSI Kenya where we delved into human centered design communication training. The training highlighted effective ways to communicate with our beneficiaries and better strategies to pitch stories to the media.

From Survivors to Entrepreneurs! WE REACH trained 30 survivors of exploitative domestic work, equipping them with financial literacy, business skills, and farming as a business! Now, they are not just survivors; they are future business owners and agriculture entrepreneurs!
