In nursery, we've been captivated by "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"! We explored the butterfly life cycle and made a fruit salad, tasting different fruits like the caterpillar did. It's been a week of discovery, learning, and embracing the magic of transformation!

Reception had a great time visiting Broxted Hill Farm. Despite the poor weather, we had lots of fun exploring the wheat fields and the grain store. We learned what our bread, bagels and cereal are made from and how. We even went on a mini beast hunt!

In Year 2 science, we are thinking about what plants need to thrive. We set up an investigation. Which plant do you think will thrive? Which will wither? Curriculum with USP Alex Bedford

At Gorsefield, we get outside in nature come rain or shine! The children of William Davis School braved the drizzle yesterday to help plant our vegetable patch. It’s looking great! #gardening #vegetablepatch #gardeningforwellbeing #outinnature

Year 2 had a great time visiting The Monument this morning. We are revisiting our ‘Great Fire of London’ Curriculum with USP history unit in a few weeks so it was a timely trip. Also keep an eye out for some exciting recount writing coming up! Alex Bedford

In our Curriculum with USP Structures DT unit, Year 2 have been exploring the strength of paper. We found out that paper strength is increased through folding. We managed to hold a 1kg weight thanks to corrugating our paper.
