So much fun at the Pride Toronto Trans March last night w/ Elementary Teachers of Toronto 2SLGBTQAI+ Committee & friends. It wasn’t about us. At all. And, when parade watchers broke out into raucous applause in appreciation for us being there to support & protect trans kids, it felt good.

Apparently our power outage is because Toronto Hydro is doing “planned work” on our street. None of us got “advanced notice”… so no warning that the power would be out for 9 HOURS today. Some are scrambling to ensure refrigerated medications stay cold, manage food, feed kids…

Volunteer work is supposed to be fulfilling, even fun - right? What do you do when you wholeheartedly believe in the “cause” but feel cast aside and unworthy by those in “power?”
