Got the classroom for my Fall offering of Microbial Phys all figured out now. Tech works, good size for the ~50 students enrolled, and there’s even a semi-hidden nap area behind the podium with a play pen, blankets, and stuffed animals! Just in case anyone needs a time-out…

Had to list the sharps we use, and why we use them, on the lab biosafety protocol update. "We use razor blades, mainly for gel bands, but also for this system I got worked out where I slice garlic so thin, it'll liquefy in the pan with a little oil. It's a very good system."

I’m not really a huge spice fiend, but I like growing a bunch of different pepper varieties because I just think they’re pretty.

Impressive, but I deadlifted 1140 lbs on Wednesday. 4 reps of 285… that counts, right?

About once every 2 or 3 months I’ll get a couple reposts or a few likes on this 7 year old random tweet about fungi colonizing dead wood. But no other engagement with posts of the same vintage. Anyone else see similar stuff? Just…odd. 🤔
