The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a bus accident that occurred at Silver Spring Intermediate School. There is no active threat to the school or surrounding area. More information will be released later today.

I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing of “Mr. Baseball” Bob Uecker, a cherished voice in the world of baseball and a beloved figure in our community. Uecker was a long-time Waukesha County resident. He created unforgettable memories for all of us who love the game.

Great to catch up with Senator Julian Bradley Chuck Wichgers at the Capitol today as budget negotiations continue. We are grateful to continue working to improve public safety and get this I-94 expansion project in western Waukesha County moving forward.

Governor Tony Evers vetoed a budget amendment for critical funding for studying safety enhancements on I-94 between CTH SS and the Jefferson County line. Since 2019, 8 people have lost their lives on this 12.5-mile stretch. This veto has just made Waukesha County less safe.

With Governor Tony Evers formally requesting a Presidential Disaster Declaration, we are teaming up with neighboring county leaders to urge President Trump to approve federal assistance so help can reach the people who need it most.

We are waiting to find out more details, but we are thankful that the President is taking a look at this and considering our recovery needs here in Waukesha County.

We hope this helps those who suffered a financial burden from the historic August floods.

Through Sept 30 in Waukesha County, anyone who needs help applying for federal assistance following the August flooding, can stop by Butler Village Hall to get one-on-one help from FEMA representatives. Hours are 9am-7pm including Saturday & Sunday.
