Ironically, getting your eschatology wrong prevents you from being able to understand both biblical and extra-biblical history. Believing what God has said about what He will do enables you to understand what He has already done and why He did it.

Just so we’re clear: from this entire generation, a grand total of two men and their families entered the Promised Land. They were wicked and rebellious and God still called them His people, His chosen ones. God’s promises do not change based on the performance of His people.
