Our 𝘓𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘰𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩𝘶𝘴 fossil got some TLC! The armored aetosaur roamed Texas during the Triassic, 227 & 237 million years ago. This fossil, found in Howard County, got a gentle dusting as part of a regular cleaning of specimens in the Paleontology Gallery. #FossilFriday

Ever heard of an aardwolf? Most people haven’t! These elusive relatives of hyenas feed almost entirely on termites and are almost never seen in U.S. zoos. Nashville Zoo is now home to TWO pups, and you can meet them starting Sept. 5! Learn more➡️ nashvillezoo.org/our-blog/posts…

New Triassic discovery! Researchers describe Fabanychus monos, new drepanosauromorph from Upper Chinle Formation (~214 Ma), AZ. Study of claw (ungual) anatomy via CT + histology reveals distinct morphotypes tied to ecology & taxonomy. Megan Sodano et al.: anatomypubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ar…
